If almonds aren't already blanched, bring a small saucepan of water to a boil and add almonds. Simmer 3 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water. Using your fingers and thumb, pop almonds from their skins. Discard skins.
Soak almonds in water overnight.
Place almonds, lime juice, olive oil, and salt in a food processor or blender and process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. This may take a while.
Transfer mixture to a small bowl and refrigerate for an hour.
Shape into a disk or log and sprinkle with smoked paprika.
