Butter Dumplings

Ingredients

Tbs
unsalted butter
room temperature
1
large egg
3
Tbs
flour
Pinch
salt
4-6
cups
soup
simmering
Instructions
In a small bowl and using a fork, beat butter until smooth. Add egg and mix, then beat until smooth.
Add flour and salt, and stir to form a batter.
Drop by half teaspoons into the simmering soup. Cover and simmer 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
