Butter Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbs unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 Tbs flour
  • Pinch salt
  • 4-6 cups soup simmering

Instructions

  • In a small bowl and using a fork, beat butter until smooth. Add egg and mix, then beat until smooth.
  • Add flour and salt, and stir to form a batter.
  • Drop by half teaspoons into the simmering soup. Cover and simmer 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
