Preheat oven to 400°F and place a rack in the center. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat.
Measure all the dry ingredients into a medium bowl, then mix thoroughly.
Pour the buttermilk into the center, and quickly mix everything together. Once everything is mixed, turn dough out on your silicone mat.
Dust the top of the dough with flour, and press down until the dough is about 3/4 of an inch thick.
Using a dough scraper, cut the scones into pieces about an inch square, and just barely separate.
Slide them in the oven for 18 minutes, rotating halfway through.
