You remember that, yesterday, we posted how to make a Delicious Super-Easy Hot Fudge. Well, we made that with this sundae in mind. We don’t have ice cream sundaes all that often, so, when we do, we try to go all out, and make the best we can. To us, that means making everything from scratch. It’s more effort, but, we believe it’s worth it.
This also happens to be an easy post for us, as you probably already know what goes into Turtle Sundaes: Hot Fudge, Caramel, and Salted Pecans on top of Vanilla Ice cream. So, for our sundaes, we used Triple Vanilla Ice Cream, our Delicious Super-Easy Hot Fudge, Thomas Keller’s Caramel Jam (just make the Caramel from the Bouchon Bakery’s Caramel Nut Tartlets), and salted pecans. Making salted pecans is easy: toss 1/2 cup of pecans in canola oil until coated, stir in 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of fine sea salt, and bake in a 350°F for 8 minutes. Now, put it all together in a bowl and enjoy.
