As we mentioned recently, we made ice cream just the other day, which required a cake. Specifically, a chocolate cake. With chocolate frosting. 100% scratched, of course. Now, we haven’t found the best chocolate cake yet; we’re still looking, but we can tell you that we know the best chocolate frosting you can make. We’ll warn you, though, that it does take more effort, but, once you try it, you’ll agree it’s worth it.
So, this cake is simply a mashup of a pretty good chocolate cake. You can find the recipe in the post on The Chocoholic. The frosting is none other than a Bittersweet Chocolate Swiss Meringue Buttercream, the lightest, smoothest, frosting you’ll ever have. Together these make one heck of a good-tasting cake, but, we will say that it would be best for a crowd. It’s a big cake. Until we find a better chocolate cake recipe, we’ll say this is four stars.
