Our Refrigerator is Bursting at the Seams

Weekly CSA produce share
It’s been two weeks since we’ve had a serious produce infusion into our systems.

Well, the refrigerator isn’t literally bursting, but, with this week’s CSA pickup, we went from nearly bare refrigerator shelves to the point at which we have trouble finding space for everything.

This week’s huge produce haul consisted of:

  • Valencia oranges (5)
  • Sweet potatoes (4)
  • Gold onions (2) — traded for more beets
  • Romaine lettuce (2 heads)
  • Carrots (1 bunch) — tops left for the chickens
  • Beets (1 bunch)
  • Bok Choi mix (1 bunch)
  • Swiss chard (1 bunch)

And, if that weren’t enough, there were a few red potatoes in the surplus basket: snag!
