We we wondering when it was going to happen. When we’d get our first batch of okra in the weekly share. Since okra is a hot weather crop, we’ve expected it for several weeks, and when it showed up, we knew exactly what we were going to do with it: Fried okra.
We know that okra seems to get a bad rap, that it’s slimy, but we never find that to be the case. If you do, make sure you are using fresh okra, slice while dry, and use a sharp knife, all of which are things you can do to minimize sliminess, but we don’t know as our okra is just delicious.
